Groningen based painter Anne Mensinga graduated in 2021 from the Classical Academy with her paintings of windows. Meanwhile, she remains true to this theme, but her focus is less and less on the representation of reality and increasingly on the abstract composition that arises in the interplay between the window frame, the glass pane, it’s reflections and the shadows from the surroundings. Mensinga shows how a simple subject can produce an endless series of exciting paintings.
